Shredding For Non-Profit Organizations

Non-profit organizations generate a great deal of paper- for records keeping, client or vendor information, invoicing, financial records, and more. Once these documents and other materials, (CDs, DVDs, or computer hard drives) are no longer needed, it is imperative that they be destroyed securely and permanently to prevent the information contained within from falling into the wrong hands.

TrueShred is AAA Certified with the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), an organization which demands strict compliance with standards regarding employees, operations and facility, destruction method, and insurance—your assurance that your sensitive information destruction is in good hands.

Our Secure Shredding Process

On the day of your shredding service visit, a TrueShred uniformed professional will arrive in one of our state of the art shredding trucks and securely transport your files to the truck where everything is destroyed on-site.

The truck lifts the bin into the shred chamber, where the materials are thoroughly destroyed, and then mixed with tons of other shredded material inside. You are welcome to witness this process through a closed circuit monitor, and since your material is secure destroyed on-site, you are ensured an unbroken and secure chain of custody.

This secure chain of custody adheres to a number of compliance standards, including HIPAA, FACTA, The Sarbanes Oxley Act, and more. A Certificate of Destruction is also issued to provide an appropriate audit trail.

On-Site Vs. Off-Site Shredding for Non-Profits

On-site shredding allows you to keep your materials within view throughout the entire process.  However, if those same materials are transported off-site for destruction, the chain of custody is broken, leaving you with no guarantee of their secure destruction.  Third party vendors may even be utilized for the destruction process.

TrueShred understands the importance and value of on-site shredding. We use this method exclusively to safeguard your information and to provide your non-profit organization with secure, exceptional, and reliable service.
